To ensure our program meets the highest standards of medical education, full details regarding our application, selection, and enrolment processes will be released only after the conclusion of the Australian Medical Council (AMC) accreditation visit and subsequent clearance of AMC and Medical Board of Australia (MBA) approvals.
We are committed to transparency and will publish comprehensive admissions guides as soon as these regulatory milestones are completed.
Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) Requirements: In alignment with most admission pathways for graduate medical schools across Australia, GAMSAT results will be utilised as part of our general selection and admissions processes. Prospective applicants are encouraged to plan their testing timelines accordingly, noting the upcoming September cycle.
Pathways for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Applicants: Federation University is deeply committed to supporting and growing the First Nations medical workforce. For Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants, the GAMSAT is not required for admission. However, while it is not a mandatory component of this pathway, First Nations applicants are welcome to submit their GAMSAT results should they wish to do so.
